The Bank Holiday weekend is coming to an end and time to re- cap...
4 days of cycling; 85 miles Friday, 50 miles Saturday, 30 miles Sunday and 85 miles Monday. Total mileage is 250 miles for the 4 days. In the actual LEJOG ride this would need to be 400 miles for 4 days. On Friday I could have done an extra 15, Sunday could have been an extra 20 and today could have been an extra 15. Saturday was not a good day and I bonked at 50 so no extra for that day. The extra 50 miles I could have then done raises my total for the 4 days to 300miles. This makes me around 75% fit for the LEJOG ride in 6 weeks time.
There is another long weekend coming up fast but I am on call so mileage will be limited. From here on in to the ride I think I need to be doing 300+ mile weeks.
I made 2 adjustments to the bike today. One was the angle of the saddle and the other was to raise my handlebars about 1 inch. I certainly noticed the difference and my ride today was more comfortable as a result.
6 weeks to go and still 10lbs to lose to get to target weight!
Details of today's ride can be found on both Garmin and GPSIES website under the username of Braveheart99.
