We are the pub cyclists

We rode LeJog in June of this year. 1014 miles in 10 days staying and eating in pubs along the way. We are now starting to plan our next ride following our core values....

1 bike, 2 wheels

At looooong last I have a fully working bike and it felt great to have full use of the gears, rather than battling with the gears and rear cassette on the spare wheel. I took it for a ride last weekend and nothing fell off, which was nice! Now all I need to do is get it serviced next week whilst I'm on holiday. That will give me 1 or 2 post-service rides to make sure everything is good and proper before our jaunt. The one bonus about all my wheel issues is that I found a great little bike shop in a little village a few miles from here, so hopefully they'll do a good service for me.
Only chance for 1 ride of 100 miles (almost) at the weekend. Not sure how many watts or calories that was Dave, but I had 4 or 5 beers a few hours afterwards and everything seemed in equilibrium. My training is almost complete :o)
